CFS - Clinical Frailty Scale
More and more studies show that the degree of frailty (fragility) is an important parameter for, among other things, the mortality of patients admitted to ICU. Frailty shows a different dimension than risk adjustment systems such as SAPS3. Registration of frailty also gives a description of which patients are coming to the intensive care unit. Assessment of frailty can be used to identify individuals at high risk of suffering from adverse events or complications and thus need extra care when moving from ICU to ward and to identify individuals who, despite old age, have good opportunities to tolerate advanced treatment.
