Q7. Life support treatment and treatment strategy

Treatment strategy means decision to apply or not apply restrictions on the treatment efforts to be carried out. The increasing possibilities of intensive care are given the opportunity for survival. Intensive care can also result in extended suffering without the patient recovering and can return to a life situation and quality of life that the patient himself can accept. There is therefore a great need for all intensive care to be preceded by consultation with the patient and a medical assessment of the possibilities of contributing to survival and recovery with intensive care.
