Take part in answering one of the most important issues for our intensive care patients. How much fluid does a patient need in septic shock?

The evidence for how much fluid we should give at septic shock is weak and several smaller studies indicate that outcome for both mortality and kidney damage deteriorates when we give much fluid. Larger randomized studies have been missing until now - take the opportunity to contribute to important increased knowledge! Join the CLASSIC study to answer the question!

In the CLASSIC study, which is a prospective randomized international multicentre study, 1554 patients will be randomized to restrictive or regular fluid treatment. The primary outcome measure is 90-day mortality.

The study begins in Sweden in January 2019. Ethical permission exists and the supplementary application is funded if you want to participate with your intensive care department. To be a co-author, you must include 25 patients.
