Q3. Isolation of ICU patients with multi-resistant bacteria

Adequate isolation of patients infected or colonized with multi-resistant bacteria counteracts the spread of these to other patients. This in turn reduces the risk of patients developing intractable infections, reduced risk of inadequate empirical antibiotic treatment and reduced use of broad-spectrum antibiotics.
