The Swedish Intensive Care Registry congratulates Lars Engerström on his dissertation

If you intend to study the development of mortality in intensive care over time or compare different departments, you need some kind of risk adjustment in order for the analysis to be meaningful because patients' survival varies with the disease's prediction. With the help of risk adjustment models, an expected mortality can be calculated.
