The Swedish Intensive Care Registry (SIR) continuously monitors any mortality for our reported patients via the tax authority's ("NAVET") service.
SIR has now decided not to follow up any mortality on patients who have had care cases on any IVA before 2008 ie for more than 10 years. The care cases reported in 2008 and onwards are not affected but are followed up as usual. Thus, the Data Output Portal is not affected since it contains data from 2008 onwards.
Note! Those who take home a mortality file from us now have fewer entries in the file (you who reported data before 2008).
This means that those who have healthcare before 2008 are no longer included in the file.
