The National Board of Health and Welfare has published the annual progress report Organ- and tissue donation in Sweden 2019. It shows that Sweden had the highest number of donations ever with 191 organ donors in 2019. The procurement of tissues continues to increase. The report also presents the quality indicators for organ donation from deceased donors that the National Board of Health and Welfare has specifically chosen to follow.
