Reminder of SIRI registration

Don't forget to report all current cases of influenza and COVID-19 to SIRI - the SIR's web form for influenza and viral infections

All patients with laboratory verified influenza or COVID-19 admitted to the ICU should be reported as soon as possible after starting care.

All episodes of care should be registered, even if the same patient is likely to be registered several times, or by several units, on readmission or transport. This is partly because when a care episode is reported, it is matched to the reported care episode when it enters the SIR, and we can then see total time spent in care and, for example, all the measures performed. Partly because the portal shows the number of registered care episodes, i.e. reflects the reality of the load on the ICU. Duplicate registrations of unique IDs will be removed by the Public Health Authority.

It is good if more people in the unit have access to SIRI. Apply for access
