The WHO has decided to use the code U07.1 or U07.2 for the new coronavirus infection in 2019.
The codes to be used from ICD-10-SE are:
U07.1 Covid-19, virus proven or U07.2 Covid-19, virus not proven.
For patients who are pregnant but where not an obstetric code is up to date, the pregnancy should still be coded as bee findings. Ex:
U07.1 Covid-19, virus revealed (main ICU diagnosis)
Z33.9 Pregnancy as bee finding.
